Reality and Illusion - Fairytale Influence

I decided to take the theme of 'Reality and Illusion' to the extreme, by looking at potentially make-believe beings, such as fairies, elf's etc. I took into consideration the stereotypical features of these beings; wings, pointed ears, large eyes. Though sometimes subtle, this pushes the idea of illusion, by making something which at first appears to be real, then seem fake.

I then researched fairytales and fables, in particular 'Alice and Wonderland'. One of the prominent features within this is altering the size and scale of the human figure by either oversizing or under sizing; stretching, growing, crushing, squashing, squeezing etc.
